Mission and Purpose
The Zoobiquity Conferences were founded to accelerate biomedical innovation for the benefit of humans, animals, and the planet we share.
The health of humans and other animals is linked by ancient shared biology. Vulnerability to cancer, heart disease, infection, disorders of the brain and countless other pathologies exist across the animal kingdom. Lifesaving insights in one species could transform our understanding of disorders in our own. Yet the fields of human and animal medicine infrequently interact and exchange knowledge.
The Conferences were launched to bridge that gap — to bring physicians, veterinarians, and evolutionary biologists into a common conversation, and to pursue not only the causes of disease but the innovations and effective strategies for treatment and prevention across species.
